The Constant Gardener

November 27th, 2005

The Constant Gardener, based on the novel by John le Carré, portrays a darker side of Kenya.
I found myself longing for Kenya due to the sporadic beautiful imagery of some Kenyan countryside, but it was also a real eye-opener to see the more dangerous parts of Kenya portrayed. Although I can’t speak from experience, my impression is that the makers really “got it right”.
It was very surprising to see a teacher from my high-school (John SIbi-Okumu) appear on the screen, in the role of Dr. Joshua Ngaba.
A must see if you ask me.

Regulating new marketsToday an article I co-authored was published!
In it, Daan Vrijmoet and I suggest how national regulators should deal with new and innovative markets. This challenge is currently faced by all telecoms regulators, and will be an issue when the new EU regulatory framework for electronic communications is up for review in 2006.
